Hero Doughnuts and Buns will open two new locations in Nashville next spring.
The locations will be in the popular Sylvan Heights (in the former Farm Burger building) and Wedgewood-Houston neighborhoods.
Although originally founded by Wil Drake, Hero Doughnuts is now part of the Pihakis Restaurant Group, after the restaurant caught the eye of founder Nick Pihakis.
Pihakis group will partner with AJ Capital for the Wedgewood-Houston location. The group previously partnered with AJ Capital and country music star, Eric Church for another one of its restaurants: Rodney Scott’s BBQ.
“Nick Pihakis has done business in Nashville for 25 years, working with various brands and is very familiar with the Nashville “vibe”,” said Pihakis’s creative director Angie Mosier. “It’s energetic and comfortable at the same time. “
Hero is known for its doughnuts which are made from scratch in a two-day process. The restaurant also serves burgers, chicken sandwiches, and breakfast and lunch buns.
“Hero’s appeal to young, old, families, college students, tourists and long-time residents creates an ideal blend of customers with an opportunity to serve everyone in our casual atmosphere with affordable-yet-thoughtful food,” a press release from Pihakis Restaurant Group said.
Hero Doughnuts also operate restaurants in Alabama, South Carolina and Georgia.
Pihakis group operates Hot Dog Pete’s, Little Donkey, Rodney Scott’s BBQ and Tasty Town Greek Restaurant and Lounge.
