Hi-Wire Brewing has officially been given the thumbs-up to start construction of the new 5,533-square-foot taproom at 810 Division St.
The brewery announced their expansion to Nashville last year, though a permit issued on Dec. 8 was just approved to begin building the new location.
As stated by Hi-Wire’s Nashville Instagram page, the location in South Gulch “will become the anchor tenant at Modera Gulch, an expansive new mixed-use project from @millcreekresidential with luxe apartments and 20,000 sq. ft. of ground floor commercial retail space.”
The popular Ashville, N.C. based brewery has taken the South by storm with its recent growth. Co-owner Chris Frosaker grew the business from its flagship location in 2018 to over ten different taprooms in five different states. Frosaker told What Now Nashville he is personally managing the build-out for the Nashville location.
According to Hi-Wire’s website, the new location will have an indoor capacity of over 250 people with a covered outdoor patio seating around 50 guests. “Hi-Wire Brewing Nashville will be reminiscent of the brewery’s other locations with a bright, high-ceilinged, industrial interior space covered in vibrant murals and neon lights then filled with plenty of active, family-friendly games like soccer, pool and ping pong,” the website states.
One of the slogans of the business, “Good beer. Good times,” found on Hi-Wire merchandise reflects the light-heartedness of the company culture. The variety of beers offered by Hi-Wire also ensures that there are options for everyone, including light lagers, IPA’s, sours, stouts, dark beers, seasonal beers, and more.
Hi-Wire will join a few other brewery neighbors in the Gulch, such as TailGate Brewery, Hops & Crafts, Yee-Haw Brewing Co. and Tennessee Brew Works.
Though the brewery will not serve food, they encourage guests to bring outside food from local restaurants to enjoy with their craft beer, as stated on the Hi-Wire website.
