HoneyFire BBQ has plans to open a spot in Brentwood at 710 Old Hickory Blvd #305, according to a recent permit filing. The Corner Pub closed at the location earlier this year.
The new HoneyFire location is expected to open by October, according to reporting by the Nashville Business Journal.
Local entrepreneur Ben Claybaker opened HoneyFire in 2018 in Bellevue and later expanded to downtown Nashville with a location at Assembly Food Hall.
The menu features slow-smoked meats such as Texas brisket, Kansas City sweet sauce ribs and Memphis pork sandwiches. Their signature sandwiches include pulled pork, smoked chicken and chopped brisket. Other options include BBQ plates and sides such as creamy coleslaw, macaroni salad, sweet corn pudding and bourbon baked beans.
“Every detail of the HoneyFire BBQ environment reflects our unwavering commitment to kindness, positivity and fun,” the HoneyFire BBQ website states. “Fresh, clean design with wraparound covered patios creates a unique atmosphere where guests can savor award-winning barbecue served with true Southern hospitality. All of our sauces and rubs are honey-based and homemade. Like our smoked meats, we take our time. Each dish is personally crafted with heart and soul.”
Buildout for the Brentwood space will include interior demolition of flooring, tile, lighting, kitchen equipment and some walls, according to the permit.
