Indiana-based Sun Development and Management has submitted plans for a new project near the East Bank, according to the Nashville Business Journal.

The spot, which would be located at 408 Woodland St., would be 12 stories. Documents show plans for about 258 rooms, a rooftop deck, a restaurant and a bar. Plans also feature a third-floor banquet hall and meeting rooms for private events.

The location is not far from the Nissan Stadium project, which is a few years out from completion.

Sun Development and Management is an Indianapolis-based firm, formed in 1989 with the purchase of one hotel in Indianapolis, according to the Sun Companies website. Co-founder and CEO Bharat Patel leads the company alongside COO and co-founder Nayna Patel.

Sun Development also developed the Hilton Tapestry Collection located downtown. Other projects in its portfolio include locations in Indiana, Georgia, Texas and Florida.

The plans for the location are still pending approval.
