Van Leeuwen Ice Cream has revealed its grand plans for the Nashville area.

Co-founder and CEO Ben Van Leeuwen told the Nashville Business Journal that the brand plans to expand to 15 Van Leeuwen Ice Cream locations across the Greater Nashville area, and he is eyeing East Nashville and Lower Broadway for spaces specifically.

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream recently opened its first Nashville location in Edgehill, with additional locations already on the way to The Gulch and the Neuhoff development in Germantown.

As of now, exact addresses for additional locations have not been announced.

Van Leeuwen is in an expansion phase across the country. It has locations in the works in its hometown of New York City, where Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen and Laura O’Neill founded the specialty ice cream brand in 2008. Right now, they are focused on building out the Nashville, Charlotte, Florida and Atlanta markets, according to their website.

The brand serves specialty flavors such as buttermilk berry cornbread, dulce de leche brownie and lemon poppyseed muffin. It has more than 70 locations across 10 states and Washington, D.C., and more are expected to open this year.
