Kaki Japanese Cuisine is expanding, with plans to open a brick-and-mortar location in Tullahoma. It will take a space at 1802 N Jackson Street, Suite 675, with plans to open in January, according to a recent announcement. It will be located behind Chick-fil-A and next to Results PT.
“I think it’s finally time to let the cat out of the bag. We are beyond grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown us over the past three years in our food truck,” the announcement stated. “With business thriving, we’ve decided to take the next big step and expand!”
Kaki Japanese Cuisine has been operating as a food truck in the Tullahoma area. The brand also has a permanent location in Shelbyville.
The menu at the brick-and-mortar restaurant will feature popular food-truck menu items as well as an expanded menu including Vietnamese cuisine. The new dishes will include pho and some specialty dishes. Current menu items include sushi and hibachi.
The team broke ground on the new restaurant earlier this fall and the location has been under construction since then. The exact grand opening date has not been announced yet.
