Koji Express Japanese Grill recently announced that they are expanding soon with a fourth location in the Nashville suburb of Murfreesboro, as stated by the Boro Pulse. The new location, called Koji Express North, will open within the next couple of months at 3230 Memorial Blvd, neighboring a nearby Koji Express location at 1010 Memorial Blvd.

Though an exact grand-opening date is unknown, the restaurant may open as soon as this June or July, according to a Koji team member who confirmed the location with What Now Nashville.

Owners Billy Huynh and Thanh Tran are behind the expansion. The two started the business in 2012, serving fresh hibachi-style chicken, steak, seafood, and vegetables inspired by their family recipes.

“Our respect for fresh ingredients came early. Uncle Be and Aunt Anna had taken us under their wings, teaching us American and Japanese cooking traditions and recipes. As cousins we grew up together, and learned the restaurant business from the ground up,” states the Koji Express website.

The menu at Koji Express North will continue serving up its popular quick hibachi dishes, including teriyaki chicken, grilled scallops, and fried rice.

Keep up to date with the opening process on Koji Express’ Instagram and Facebook.
