According to a new business license filed with the Davidson County Clerk’s office last week, an authentic Peruvian restaurant will soon open in East Nashville at 1008 Fatherland St. The permit reveals the owner of the concept is also the mastermind behind one of Music City’s most popular food trucks, Marcio Florez of The Inka Trailer, also specializing in Peruvian and Inkan cuisine. Florez is partnering with Mauricio Sulay to bring this new brick-and-mortar concept to life.
Limo Peruvian will offer a wide variety of dishes accompanied by a full bar, including award-winning classics such as “ceviches, lomo saltado, and jaleas to creative chef’s fusions, all complemented by a classic pisco sour, each dish is a celebration of Peru’s rich culinary tradition,” states Limo’s website.
Originally set to open in December, the location has faced some delays in the final touches of opening doors. Its social media pages indicate an announcement with an updated opening timeline is forthcoming. The business may likely open in the coming weeks or early February at the latest.
1008 Fatherland St. was last home to Far East restaurant, which recently relocated to Midtown Foods cloud kitchen. Limo Peruvian will neighbor other East Nashville businesses Banh Mi and Roll Factory, Guerilla Bizcuits, and the soon-to-close The Wild Cow.
