Local Hospitality Owners Collaborating On New Concept Bar Cala Cala

A new Italian hi-fi bar is heading to East Nashville with plans to open at 930 Mcferrin Ave. this summer, according to an Instagram announcement.

Bar Cala Cala comes from Josh Walker of Xiao Bao and Ryan Costanza of Present Tense. The duo are partnering to bring a concept with a natural wine list, Italian island cooking and frozen negronis. The team has tapped Matthew Bone to curate the wine list.

What Now Nashville has reached out to ownership for additional details but did not hear back prior to the time of publication.

Present Tense announced a relocation from its original Wedgwood-Houston space last year and is now open at 509 Houston St. Present Tense is also known for its natural wines.
