The newest addition to the Gulch’s nightlife boom in Nashville, Love’s Alibi is a cocktail-forward neighborhood bar as part of LeBlanc + Smith, the team behind Barrel Proof, The Chloe, and more. Helmed by locally-based partner Jason Sorbet alongside Robert LeBlanc and Liam Deegan, Love’s Alibi will officially open to the public on Wednesday, January 14, serving elevated beverages and tavern-style food.

The bar channels an irreverent spirit of liveliness from decades past, fostering camaraderie with just a hint of mischief–it’s a space that’s polished and fun, where cocktails during golden hour can seamlessly turn into late-night parties.

Love’s Alibi will be open seven days a week from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. and a daily happy hour will be offered from 3 to 5 p.m.

The beverage program at Love’s Alibi is refined while still offering something for everyone. The menu features a large selection of rare spirits and intentional cocktails plus affordable options for those looking to make the bar their local spot or who merely want to pop by for a beer and a shot. Cocktails include intentional iterations on beloved classics like the Martini (gin, tomato, rosemary vermouth, confit oil), Milk Punch (vanilla, passionfruit, lemon, coconut milk, sparkling rosé), and the Cobbler (whiskey, blackberry, twisted tea, lemon) with daily specials priced at $8 offered on select days. A curated selection of locally-focused beer (as well as domestic and import), wine, and shots, are also available.

The tavern-style menu presents refreshed takes on familiar bar favorites. Crafted by Chef Todd Pulsinelli, Culinary Director of LeBlanc + Smith, alongside Jonathan Burkett, Chef de Cuisine of Love’s Alibi, the shareable menu is organized into four sections: Snacks, Smalls, Mains, and Sweets. Snacks include items like a House Pimento Cheese & Pickle Plate and Shrimp Toast Sticks with sambal vinegar while the Smalls include dishes such as a Blackened Mushroom Hand Pie with Tabasco mash ranch, Honey Achiote Glazed Chicken Wings topped in pickled tomatillo and cilantro, and Charred Broccoli & Cauliflower Caesar (white anchovy and roasted garlic). The Mains featured offerings such as the 6 oz House Cheese Burger with caramelized onion bourbon mustard, crispy shallot, dill pickle, provolone, and American cheese, Sweet Potato Gnocchi in a brown butter, satsuma, and pecan pesto, and a taste of New Orleans with Crispy NOLA Hot Chicken served with popcorn grits and pickled Trinity. To end on a sweet note, the two desserts available include Chocolate Pecan Creme Brulee with a praline crisp and Blueberry Upside Down Cake topped in lemon whipped cream.

Designed in partnership with Nashville’s Frank Atelier, the essence of the bar and its interiors, specifically draw inspiration from the empowered women icons of the rock ‘n roll era with soft neon pastels, backlit glass blocks, polished woods, and abundant greenery bringing a soft aesthetic to a space that feels lived-in and loved. The bar offers a timeless sense of style and a warm, engaging atmosphere that positions itself at an intersection of a local watering hole and design-forward cocktail bar: a stylish but unpretentious third place that’s joyful, culturally grounded, and enduring.
