A familiar coastal-inspired upscale restaurant is expanding to Franklin as part of the new Berry Farms mixed-use development.
Brentwood’s Ludlow & Prime recently announced that they will open their second location at 6001 Hughes Crossing, with no confirmed grand-opening date. The lease for the location was signed in Jan. 2023, which means a timeline for opening is likely a year out or longer.
The restaurant is described as a wood-fired grille and coastal kitchen, and features menu items like USDA prime steaks, seafood, gumbo, oysters and pasta.
Founder and owner Tim Kohler is behind the expansion.
“Ludlow & Prime Berry Farms will continue to provide polished and friendly service in a unique environment with some new twists,” Kohler told The Tennessean.
Ludlow & Prime prides itself in ambiance and claims the Brentwood location offers an environment for upscale celebrations as well as a casual enough setting for a weeknight dinner. It’s expected that the Franklin location will offer a similar vibe, as well.
“Our custom Wood Fired Grill amplifies the bold flavors and rich layers in our food. The flickering flames of the fire in our open kitchen lend a welcoming invitation. Whether you’re celebrating something special, having a business meal or simply enjoying a weekday lunch or dinner – settle in, relax, and enjoy a truly incredible meal in one of our booths, private dining rooms or in our cocktail lounge,” states the website.
Ludlow & Prime will join neighbors such as Chick-Fil-A, Whit’s Frozen Custard, and a Publix supermarket.
