A new barbecue restaurant will soon open inside the Nashville Farmer’s Market indoor food hall, located at 900 Rosa L Parks Blvd. According to permits, the owner of the Market City BBQ is Eric Woodard, who also owns The Picnic Tap, another local favorite inside the Nashville Farmer’s Market.

Permits indicate that the LLC for Market City BBQ was formed in May, and based on hiring signs in front of the location of Market City BBQ, the business is likely to open within a month or two. However, an exact grand opening date is not yet known.

There is currently no website or social media channels for the new barbecue restaurant. Though details are scarce, customers can likely expect quality barbecue classics on the menu, such as smoked meats and Southern side dishes.

What Now Nashville reached out to Woodard for comment, but did not receive a response by the time of publication. Stay tuned for more updates as details are developed.
