According to recent permits, a new concept is slated to take place in the former home of La Hacienda Mexican restaurant, which shuttered its doors this spring after 30 years in business. Mas Amigos will open this October at 2615 Nolensville Pike from first-time business owner Erick Moreno.
The business does not yet have a website or any social media presence established. Moreno plans on refurbishing some of the interior of the restaurant space, but the minimal construction needed for repairs will be completed within the next two months in order to open on time.
As stated by the Nashville Post, Moreno “plans to offer a menu with a food and beverage quality level between those of Mexican street food and gourmet Mexican cuisine.”
Some anticipated menu items might include street-style tacos, enchiladas, burritos, chips with salsa, and guacamole. Once opened, it’s also expected that the restaurant will obtain a liquor license and offer a full bar to serve margaritas, cerveza, and other staple beverages to pair with the menu’s authentic cuisine.
Moreno will be handling construction himself via a self-contractor commercial permit. The previous owners of La Hacienda still own the property and will serve as Moreno’s landlord. La Hacienda had previously been known as one of Music City’s most well-loved Mexican eateries and even gained local media attention in 2014 when President Barack Obama visited the restaurant.
What Now Nashville will report back with additional details about Mas Amigos’ upcoming opening as they are released.
