A new restaurant will be opening soon at 805 Old Fort Pkwy in place of the former Bar-B-Cutie in Murfreesboro. The concept will be called Maya Grill Mexican Restaurant, according to recent permits.
An official opening timeline is unclear, however, the building is currently under construction and may not open for business until the fall of this year, or later. Permits indicate a full build-out is taking place to renovate the second-generation space from its last tenant.
The owner of the new concept, Antonio Ornelas Ramirez, has not yet set up a website or social media for the restaurant. The process is still in the beginning stages of opening, and more details will emerge in the coming months as the restaurant prepares its grand opening.
It’s expected that the restaurant will serve classic Mexican comfort food on its menu, including enchiladas, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and nachos. It’s also likely that Maya Grill will offer a full bar similar to many other Mexican restaurants in the area, in order to serve margaritas, beer, and offer a happy hour for its customers.
The restaurant space will include a small covered patio area for outdoor dining, and the interior of the restaurant is just under 3,000 square feet.
