Not a Damn Chance (NADC) Burger is heading to Nashville. It has signed a lease at The Arcade, which has been undergoing a revamp and has been welcoming a variety of new tenants.

NADC Burger is a wagyu cheeseburger collaboration between professional skateboarder Neen Williams and Michelin-starred chef Phillip Frankland Lee.

“We are very excited about NADC Burger coming to The Arcade in Nashville,” a spokesperson for NADC Burger told What Now Nashville in an email.

The spokesperson with the company could not immediately share information regarding the opening timeline and the design of the space, but they plan to share more details in the coming weeks.

Williams and Lee first bonded with each other through their shared love of skateboarding and cooking. They enjoyed grabbing cheeseburgers after skating, so they began to work on creating “the perfect cheeseburger” in Austin in 2021, according to the NADC Burger website.

“They wanted to create the best cheeseburger with nostalgic ingredients and quality meat. They first started with sourcing quality meat,” the website states. “They found a farm just outside of Houston. This is where they source their 100% Japanese wagyu beef. After many versions of the NADC burger, they knew they had the one.”

The brand only offers one burger, made with one-third pound of wagyu beef, American cheese, NADC secret sauce, onions, pickles and jalapeños.

“Chef Phillip and Neen created a burger with perfect ratios and tang to counteract the fatty wagyu flavor. Creating a perfect bite, every time,” the website states. “The flavor of the patty sets it apart, making it a truly unique experience. It pairs nicely with our twice-fried fries.”

After launching as a walk-up window in Austin in 2022, the team opened their first brick-and-mortar location — their flagship store — in Austin in 2023. Since then, the brand has been a hit. They have expanded rapidly, adding two more Austin locations, two Chicago spots, one Denver location and one Fort Worth location. Nashville will be the eighth location for the brand.

Lee is also the chef behind various other concepts in the portfolio of his restaurant group, Scratch Restaurants, which he owns with his wife. His  other restaurants include Pasta Bar Los Angeles, Pasta Bar Austin and Sushi by Scratch Restaurants, which has locations across the country.
