Nashville Pie Company has plans to open its first physical location near Lipscomb University, according to an announcement from the university on Jan. 13.

The gourmet pie brand will take a space in the university-owned retail building across from the school in the Green Hills area. The spot is expected to serve an array of pies as well as frozen yogurt. It will open in early spring.

Nashville Pie Company, helmed by Kristin Allgood, has been operating as an online business inspired by family recipes.

“Nashville Pie Company started from a love of all things Southern hospitality,” the website states. “Nothing is more nostalgic than homemade pie, and we’re on a mission to bring those good feelings to you using the best ingredients and baking practices available.”

The new tenant announcement comes alongside other changes to the retail development, including an expanded footprint for The Well Coffeehouse, which has been operating in its space near Lipscomb since 2014.
