A new innovative concept is slated to open soon from a local entrepreneur. Neighborlily, a coffee shop and flower retailer, will open in January from founder and owner Karen Kops, who also owns neighboring business Poppy & Monroe, an organic salon and clean beauty boutique in Germantown.

Neighborlily has not yet announced an exact grand opening date, though it aims to open in the new year. It’s likely to start serving customers within a few weeks, according to recently approved signage permits for the location at 606 Monroe Street.

Its website states that Neighborlily will offer a curated environment including an outdoor patio as well as a selection of botanicals florals to create your own bouquet at the shop.

“We can’t wait for you to experience our serene garden setting where you can indulge in delicious food, refreshing tea + coffee drinks, and pick up or make your own gorgeous floral bouquet while shopping our carefully selected retail options,” says the website. The business is currently hiring for baristas, floral designers, merchandisers, and cooks.

From the sneak peek photos posted to its socials, the menu at Neighborlily will offer sweet and savory scones, macarons, croissants house-made syrups and flavors, locally sourced Liquid Jade Matcha from Suraj Spices and Teas, and more.

Stay tuned for an official grand opening announcement on the business’ website, Instagram, and Facebook pages.
