Joe Harvey, owner of Charleston bagel shop Ruby’s New York Style Bagels, is launching a new bagel brand in Nashville. Harvey’s New York Style Bagels will open at 100 Kenner Ave., according to reporting by the Nashville Business Journal.

Customers can expect bagel sandwiches and a full coffee menu at the forthcoming bagel shop.

Harvey partnered with Kevin Roach, as well as their wives Denise and Gail, to open Ruby’s New York Style Bagels in 2022 in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. Their goal was to bring New York-style bagels to Charleston. Harvey also has experience as an owner of coffee shops in the Northeast.

Ruby’s New York Style Bagels offers freshly baked bagels with options such as rosemary salt, pumpernickel, sesame, French toast, blueberry, cinnamon raisin and cheddar. There are also breakfast sandwiches such as egg and cheese, ham and cheese, and bagel and lox, as well as lunch sandwiches such as pastrami, corned beef and egg salad sandwiches. The shop also offers coffee items.

Ruby’s now has six locations throughout the Charleston area.

As of now, an opening timeline for Harvey’s New York Style Bagels is unclear. What Now Nashville has reached out to Harvey for additional information.
