Fast-casual Mediterranean chain Nick The Greek is joining the Nashville Yards development with plans to open in late spring, according to a release.
This will be the first location to open in the market as a part of franchise owner Jordan Nari’s multi-unit deal with Nick The Greek. The restaurant will take a ground floor space of about 2,400 square feet at Nashville Yards in the eleven-story creative office building along Church Street anchored by CAA. Nari shared that he is targeting a May opening for the location.
“We’re super excited to be opening out there,” Nari told What Now Nashville. “I live here in Nashville, and I think the Yards as a whole fills a void of what Nashville’s missing. It’s going to be locally driven, and we’re super excited to be part of it.”
The design will be similar to other Nick The Greek locations, but Nari said there will be unique design elements such as new murals on the walls.
“We’re not going to change what makes [Nick The Greek] great, but we’re going to try to make it part of the Nashville culture,” Nari said. “We’ll throw a couple curveballs out there to make it part of our environment.”
Three cousins — Big Nick, Little Nick and Baby Nick Tsigaris — launched the brand in 2014 to bring Greek street food to customers. Menu items include gyros, souvlaki, rotisserie meats, skewers and vegetables. The franchise has nearly 80 locations across California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas and Kansas, with more in the works.
“Opening our first Tennessee location at Nashville Yards is a major milestone for us,” said Baby Nick Tsigaris, one of the three co-founders. “We are thrilled to bring authentic Greek street food to Nashville, and we look forward to becoming part of the community.”
Nick the Greek will be open for lunch and dinner. It will join other tenants previously announced for the office building, including Shipley Do-Nuts, Fogo de Chão and Ocean Prime.
“We are excited to bring a fresh, authentic Greek restaurant experience to Nashville Yards,” said Cary Mack, managing partner at Southwest Value Partners. “Nick The Greek is going to be great for a healthy lunch, dinner on the way home or a late-night stop after a show, and we are pleased to welcome them to Nashville Yards.”
