Noôsh is slated to open this fall at 21 White Bridge Road, offering traditional Persian cuisine to the community, according to a release.

The name Noôsh means “to sip tastefully” and is derived from Nooshe Jaan, a phrase that means “bon appétit.”

Naz Kiani is behind the forthcoming restaurant. Originally from Iran, Kiani moved to Nashville with her family when she was 12. She views Nashville as an ideal place to share her heritage with others through food.

“Noôsh is the most personal endeavor I have ever undertaken,” Kiani said in the release. “It represents the merging of heritage, purpose and heart. Our menu is built on the foundation of treasured family recipes, both from my own upbringing and from my exceptional mother-in-law, a masterful cook whose culinary wisdom has inspired and guided me. Together, we have crafted dishes such as the rich, aromatic Fessenjoon, the herbaceous Ghormeh Sabzi and sizzling kabobs — all prepared fresh and from scratch with the same care and intention as if we were serving our own family at home.”

Noôsh will be open for lunch and dinner six days a week. Expect to see traditional Persian appetizers such as Mirza Ghasemi, Kashk o Bademjoon, Dolmeh and Falafel. Entrees will include beef, chicken and lamb shank with flavors such as saffron, pomegranate molasses and dried lime. Other offerings will include rice, soups and kabobs.

“Nashville is a city that embraces diversity and has a big heart for new flavors, and I’m eager to share the flavors of my heritage with a community that’s always ready to discover, connect and savor something new,” Kiani said in the release. “Persian cuisine is an expression of love, a keeper of memory and a deeply rooted cultural tradition; it’s more than 3,000 years of love, history and hospitality on a plate. Every dish at Noôsh is a love letter from my family to Nashville.”

The spot will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
