Bagelshop, a breakfast and lunch concept created by Max Palmer and his wife Kayla Palmer, is coming to Donelson in 2023.

The Palmers revealed the news on the restaurant instagram page in August, saying: “Donelson has always felt like the right move for us as it is home to our family and a fantastic growing area of our beautiful city.”

The Palmers opened Bagelshop Nashville two years ago with the idea of creating a space where families can feel comfortable.

“I wanted to give them a space to comfortably just spend their time and bring their friends,” Max Palmer told What Now.

Opening a second restaurant will help the Palmers “go back to their roots,” Palmer said.

“We’re really going to spend a lot of time focusing on the community here,” he said. “Give the local a good place to get breakfast, and a delicious coffee.”

The new location will have a similar menu to the Nashville location, with some variation.

“There may be a little bit more of like a lunch aspect to our style,” Palmer said. “Really just make it a place where people feel comfortable. Just coming, bringing their computers sitting down, grabbing some breakfast, grabbing some coffee and just like getting work done.”

The Palmers have lived in Donelson for three years.

The new location is set to open next spring. It will be located at 2708 Old Lebanon Rd.

“Just get excited for a place that is going to be a really fun inviting space for everybody,” Palmer said.
