According to recently filed permits, Paris Baguette, the neighborhood bakery café concept with 4,000 cafés worldwide including over 150 in the United States, is growing in the Volunteer State once again.

On the heels of announcing a location for Franklin, Tennessee from franchisee Jim Osborn, another team of owners Hanna Chen and Kate Lee will open Nashville’s first Paris Baguette in The Gulch. Having recently secured real estate at 1109 Church St, Chen and Lee are on track to open Paris Baguette in the summer of 2024, bringing Tennessee’s confirmed count of Paris Baguette locations from zero to two in just two months.

What Now Nashville spoke with Chen and Lee about the new location, which they signed on to bring to Tennessee in 2021.

“My husband and I own a sushi restaurant in Middle Tennessee. I noticed how people would drive hours to get specific products, which inspired me to open Paris Baguette since it’s something Nashville was missing. When we were doing research and saw on the website that Nashville was a territory open for franchising, it was a no-brainer,” Chen said.

As the company grows, a new 3.0 prototype for Paris Baguette locations has played a crucial role in driving interest from both guests and prospective franchisees. The new location will showcase upgraded furniture, unique flooring and ceilings, rich colors, and elegant lighting, according to Restaurantnews.com.

One of the many exciting features of the incoming Paris Baguette location will be free one-hour parking for customers, a luxury that the busy Gulch area doesn’t usually offer.

“Our vision for the restaurant is to be a go-to place for all. To celebrate special moments, we want to let the surrounding community know that we can cater to businesses and parties. We’re dedicated to fostering the community and creating positive connections in Nashville, we’re creating job opportunities for people in the community and we’re building relationships with first responders and students in the area,” Lee added.

As an all-day cafe, Paris Baguette specializes in house-made sandwiches, espresso-based beverages, soups, cakes, and breads, all freshly baked daily. Customers can learn more at Paris Baguette’s website, Instagram, and Facebook pages.
