According to a recent news release, locally-owned Puckett’s is expanding with its first restaurant and live music venue in Sumner County, located at 1039 Glenbrook Way. Its other locations include Nashville, Chattanooga, Columbia, Franklin, Murfreesboro, Pigeon Forge, and in Cullman, Alabama.

Though an exact grand opening date is not yet known, early 2024 is the projected opening timeline. The new location comes from co-owners Jan and Andy Marshall of A. Marshall Hospitality, which also oversees operations of Americana Taphouse, Deacon’s New South, Scout’s Pub, and Burger Dandy.

According to the release, Puckett’s is recognized by Southern Living as a Tennessee Top 5 Local Restaurant, known for its Southern hospitality, Memphis-style barbecue smoked low and slow over cherry wood, as well as its engagement with the local community.

The 7,387-square-foot Puckett’s Hendersonville will have around 250 seats and offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, according to the Nashville Business Journal. Some of Puckett’s popular menu offerings include Southern Classics like its build-your-own meat and three lunch special, Music City Hot Chicken Sandwich, and shrimp and grits.

Puckett’s originally started as a grocery store in Leiper’s Fork over 65 years ago. After selling several of his Piggly Wiggly stores, Andy Marshall bought Puckett’s in 1998 and transformed it into a music venue and restaurant in 2002.
