According to an Instagram post this week, the popular Germantown eatery known for its inventive pasta and curated wine list from Philip Krajeck will temporarily close in order to complete kitchen renovations. Rolf & Daughters, located at 700 Taylor Street, is slated to reopen in a few weeks on January 18.

Chef and owner Krajeck opened Rolf and Daughters 11 years ago and noted that the renovation has been a long time coming in the announcement.

“When opening your first restaurant, there’s always going to be things you wish you could do. And after 11 years, we finally get to,” Krajeck stated.

At Rolf & Daughters, Krajeck serves up multifaceted dishes and small plates, like his agnolotti, ricotta, sunchoke, sunflower, and rye pasta dish accompanied by a 13-page wine list and a full dessert menu offered inside a modest, yet welcoming and modern interior.

“We are super grateful for all the incredible dinners we’ve hosted, chefs we’ve partnered with and the countless chickens and pastas we’ve served. See y’all on the 18th, so fresh and so clean,” Krajeck added in the announcement, along with including the site plans for the renovations in the Instagram post.

Customers can stay tuned for Rolf & Daughters’ reopening in the upcoming weeks, and in the meantime can visit Krajeck’s other concept, Folk.
