Fresh off the opening of Shaun Folad’s second Wedgewood Houston bar Good Times Full Service in July, the entrepreneur has submitted a new business application with the Davidson County Clerk for a concept called Roy’s Royal Room, expected to replace Henry James Bar at 3807 Gallatin Pike.

As initially reported by the Nashville Post, the Inglewood building was listed for sale in June. “Marketing material notes the bar business is for sale separately and will stay open until at least the property changes ownership hands. The restaurant space underwent an upgrade, valued at about $400,000, in 2018, after which Henry James Bar opened,” states the Post article.

Folad confirmed with What Now Nashville that he’s expecting the sale of the building to close by the end of August. Until then, Henry James Bar will remain open, serving up handcrafted cocktails and small plates. Folad declined to share details about Roy’s Royal Room until the sale is finalized.

Though the details about the new concept remain scarce, Roy’s Royal Room could be similar to the style of the other two bars Folad has created, Good Times Full Service and Lucky’s 3 Star Bar. Customers may anticipate a contemporary yet vintage-influenced interior, a small food menu with classic bar-food bites, a robust offering of liquors and spirits, and affordable beers by the bottle.

What Now Nashville will update with additional details about Roy’s Royal Room as they unfold.
