Rudy’s Jazz Room opened in the Gulch in 2017. Now, its team is making plans for a new spot at 1010 Whites Creek Pike in East Nashville, according to a recent permit.
The forthcoming East Nashville location has plans for renovations to the 1,681-square-foot space and 813-square-foot mezzanine. Adam Charney and Michael Braden are behind Rudy’s Jazz Room. Charney told What Now Nashville that the spot will be called The Amber Cat and will feature a similar concept to Rudy’s, serving as an intimate music venue and bar. However, it will showcase a diverse array of musical styles and genres rather than focusing on jazz.
Charney said that the spot is still in the early stages of development and more information is forthcoming later this year.
Charney and Braden launched Rudy’s to bring an authentic jazz experience to Nashville, drawing inspiration from other jazz cities such as New York, New Orleans, Chicago and Kansas City. The product was an intimate bar and jazz club designed for customers to enjoy socializing and listening to music.
The New Orleans-inspired menu features items such as gumbo, shrimp po’boys and Creole grilled cheese. The spot also serves cocktails, spirits, beer and wine.
