A recently filed permit shows Shake Shack is looking to open a new location facing the Cumberland river at 2300 Bowline Ave. as part of the waterfront development called The Landings, which is a $260 million mixed-use project including 80,000 square feet of retail space, 651 apartment units and 78,000 square feet of office space.

Initially reported by the Nashville Post, “The Landings will be supplemented by four new streets — the more than $20.9 million cost of which will be privately funded — as well as an outdoor dining and plaza area, structured and surface parking and a connection to a planned bike path and the existing Cumberland River Greenway system.”

The location listed on the permit for Shake Shack will sit on one of the four future streets in the yet-to-be-developed part of River North. It will also neighbor Topgolf and the new campus of Oracle’s riverfront tech hub, which may help to bring in business.

Though an exact opening date has not been released, the project may finish construction as early as late 2023 or beginning of 2024.

Shake Shack is known for their crinkle-cut fries, milkshakes, and Angus beef burgers. The chain already has four locations in Nashville, including one inside the Nashville International Airport.
