Nashville’s restaurant scene is about to gain a new modern Mexican dining experience. Social Cantina, part of the Indiana-based Finney Hospitality Group (FHG), is opening its doors to the public the week of March 3, 2025, to bring people together over delicious Mexican cuisine in a vibrant atmosphere.
Located in the Starling mixed-use development at 820 4th Avenue, Social Cantina is the perfect backdrop for a casual night out, brunch with friends, happy hour and much more. The new 5,500-square-foot Germantown location features a collection of more than 150 bottles of tequila and mezcal, eye-catching murals created by local Nashville artist Murals by Loba, and a massive 100-seat, dog-friendly patio overlooking the Cumberland River Greenway and First Horizon Park Stadium. This marks Social Cantina’s first Tennessee location.
“Social Cantina is bright and bold in every sense, and that’s exactly what we love about Germantown – its energy,” said Chris Martin, President of Finney Hospitality Group in a statement. “A great dining experience should always be at the center of a social gathering, so whether you, your friends or your date are down for a Sounds game, a night out, or just catching up, we’ll always be the perfect host.”
The restaurant’s commitment to fresh ingredients, high-quality service and innovative flavors elevate every meal. The traditional Mexican-inspired dishes with bold, inventive twists create specialty tacos of the month, fan-favorite El Matador and Fiesta Shrimp cantina bowls, Stuffed Avocado, Bacon Charro Beans, Tres Leches and more. Behind the bar, Social Cantina’s wide selection of craft margaritas, signature cocktails and tequila are on tap.
Social Cantina is owned and operated by Finney Hospitality Group, a restaurant group based in Bloomington, Indiana. In addition to its four Social Cantinas located in Bloomington, Carmel, Indianapolis and Mishawaka, Finney Hospitality Group operates The Tap, a craft beer bar and full-service restaurant with three locations in Indiana, including at the Indianapolis International Airport, which operates independently in partnership with OHM. The Tap brews over 30 unique beers over the course of a year in Bloomington. Finney Hospitality Group also owns and operates SmokeWorks, an Indiana Hickory-Smoked Barbecue joint featuring more than 200 styles of bourbon, whiskey and scotch, and the Indiana University sports bar, Yogi’s.
