Starr Restaurants, helmed by CEO Stephen Starr, will be bringing French restaurant Pastis to Wedgewood-Houston this summer. However, this is not the only concept from the restaurant group heading to the city.
Now, they are looking to secure a spot in Pie Town for Starr Restaurants’ steakhouse concept St. Anselm, according to the Nashville Business Journal.
The two concepts are part of Starr’s hospitality group, which Starr launched in Philadelphia in 1995. It manages more than 35 properties in five markets.
“Nashville has an electric mix of tradition and modernization. From what I’ve seen, it’s a city that honors its roots but never stops reinventing itself. That spirit aligns perfectly with the soul of Pastis,” Starr said in a release. “The opportunity to bring Pastis to Nashville’s culinary scene was one we couldn’t ignore. We look forward to welcoming guests this summer to a space that captures the energy of Nashville while staying true to the character that makes Pastis timeless.”
St. Anselm is an American tavern-style steakhouse in Washington, D.C. “devoted to the pleasures of grilled meats and great ingredients simply cooked.”
Its menu focuses on steak cuts and other proteins, as well as a wine and cocktail program. Last year, it was named as one of The Washington Post’s top eight best steakhouses in Washington, D.C.
Starr was recognized as an “Outstanding Restaurateur” by the James Beard Foundation in 2017. Other concepts in his portfolio include Buddakan, Morimoto, El Vez, Continental Mid-Town, Barclay Prime, Parc, Butcher and Singer, Pizzeria Stella, El Rey, The Ranstead Room, The Dandelion, Talula’s Garden, Talula’s Daily, The Love, LMNO, Frankford Hall and Fette Sau.
