The innovative neighborhood work club, Switchyards, will open in Nashville at a renovated church in East Nashville this fall, located at 1101 Chapel Ave. The membership-based work club will feature a cafe area with locally sourced coffee from a to-be-announced Nashville purveyor, and has plans to expand in Music City later down the line.
According to a press release, the location will feature 8,000 square feet within the 100-year-old church where members can work and drink coffee 24/7. The location is designed for two distinct experiences: a large cafe area for collaboration and meetings, and two libraries, dedicated spaces designed for deep focus. There will also be eight soundproof phone booths for private calls and three meeting rooms, all bookable at no extra cost to members. The membership fee for Switchyards is $100 per month.
Switchyards Nashville’s grand opening is set for Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
“We’re inspired by the culture, creativity, and the substance we see happening in this city.” said CEO and Founder of Switchyards, Michael Tavani, in the release. “And, from our perspective, East Nashville is at the epicenter—it’s what makes this city special.”
What Now Nashville spoke with Tavani about more details regarding the upcoming Switchyards location.
“Nashville will be our 10th location, with more to come in the future. We like to be placed in residential neighborhoods, unlike coworking spaces in big office buildings downtown. That’s why we like East Nashville. We’ll have coffee, tea, and stroopwafels that are free for our members,” Tavani said in a phone interview.
Memberships will go on sale starting August 15 at 9:30 a.m. CT for $100/month with unlimited access to all Switchyards locations, including nine in Atlanta. Interested members can sign up to be the first to know exclusive club details, new location reveals, opening week invitations, and more.
Looks awesome, excited to try this out
