New Orleans-based hospitality group LeBlanc + Smith has plans to bring a new cocktail bar to Nashville later this fall. Love’s Alibi will open at 901 Gleaves St., according to a release.

The spot will operate under the leadership of Nashville-based partner Jason Sorbet along with LeBlanc + Smith partners Robert LeBlanc and Liam Deegan. It will feature a beverage program centered around rare spirits and cocktails as well as classic and affordable options. The food menu will offer tavern-style fare, offering twists on classic bar food and shareable plates.

Nashville’s Frank Atelier led the interior design for the space, incorporating elements of empowered women icons from the rock ‘n roll era. Design elements include neon pastels, polished woods, greenery and backlit glass blocks. Love’s Alibi will aim to create a soft, warm and fun atmosphere that will offer a cozy neighborhood bar feel as well as the elevated feeling of a cocktail bar.

Love’s Alibi plans to operate daily from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.

LeBlanc + Smith is also behind cocktail bar Barrel Proof and boutique hotel The Chloe.
