The Firey Pig is bringing its first brick-and-mortar location to Murfreesboro, with plans to open at 1124 Old Lascassas Road near Middle Tennessee State University, according to a recent social media announcement. The space was formerly home to Campus Subs, which closed earlier this year.

“We are working hard to bring everything together at the new space!” the social media announcement states. “We are so excited to have a space where we can better serve the best customers on the planet! We love you all!  Keep an eye out!”

Scott and Lisa Wallace are behind The Firey Pig, which they have been operating as a food truck around the Milton area. They specialize in hickory smoked meats, including pulled pork, pulled chicken, wings, brisket, ribs and pork tenderloin, according to their website. Sides include hashbrown casserole, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, coleslaw and baked beans. There are also rotating desserts available, including options like fudge, pies and strawberry cake.

The Wallaces also do events and catering with their food truck.

As of now, an official opening timeline has not been released. The Wallaces shared that they will be posting updates on social media as they grow closer to opening.
