The Human Bean has plans to expand into the Tennessee market, according to a site plan submitted to the City of Murfreesboro Planning Commission. Franchisees Scott and Anita Findlay plan to bring a location to 1807 Memorial Blvd, according to submitted plans and corporate filings with the state.
The 745-square-foot kiosk will sit on a site just north of the Memorial Boulevard and MTCS Road intersection. The site plan calls for construction of the building, associated parking and landscaping. The location will function as a drive-thru kiosk for customers to grab coffee, food items and other beverages.
Founded in 1998 as a drive-thru in Southern Oregon, the coffee franchise has now grown to hundreds of locations across the country. Its strongest presence remains on the West Coast.
The Human Bean’s founding mission was to be community-focused and to treat customers well.
“They would make a difference and do right by their customers. They would listen. They would treat team members and franchise partners like family, and treat everyone in the supply chain like the good human beans they are,” the website states.
Currently, the franchise has a very limited presence in the state. At the moment, there is one location operating in Jackson, Tenn.
