Florida-based The Naked Farmer appears to have two locations on the way to the Nashville market. In addition to a location destined for Prima at Paseo South Gulch that was revealed earlier this summer, the brand has a second location heading to 217 Fourth Ave. N. at The Arcade, according to a recent permit.
As of now, the brand, helmed by Jordan Johnson, has eight locations in Florida and no spots outside of its home state. The Naked Farmer serves farm-to-table New American cuisine, focusing on seasonal, locally-sourced menu items. The brand aims to connect the community with local farmers and produce with the chief goal of creating an improved food system.
“Our farm-to-table restaurants boast a menu grown in direct conversation with small and medium-sized farms in our region, brought in from the fields, and cooked on site by chefs who know their vegetables,” The Naked Farmer website states. “It’s pretty simple, really: we feel like eating food that’s grown closer to you is better for you, the environment, farmers and the economy.”
Meals largely center around fresh vegetables. Current seasonal menu offerings include the Golden Beet & Burrata Salad, the Summer BBQ Chicken Salad, the Wild Mushroom Chimichurri Salad, the Backyard BBQ Chicken Plate, the Steak & Mushroom Plate and the Classic Naked Plate (with charred chicken, mac & cheese, pecan kale caesar, brown rice with parsley and garlic aioli).
As of now, an opening timeline for The Arcade location remains unclear. The Paseo South Gulch location is expected to open next year.
