Chef Joey Maggiore is bringing his meatball-and-butchery restaurant from Phoenix to Nashville in conjunction with investment group The Savory Fund.

The Sicilian Butcher first launched in Phoenix under the leadership of Maggiore, his wife Cristina Maggiore and business partner Flora Tersigni. The Nashville location is slated to open in Wedgewood Houston in the second quarter of 2025.

The spot will open in mixed-use development The Finery, which features retail, residential and office spaces. It is set to take over 6,000 square feet of the ground-floor retail space as well as 1,500 square feet of outdoor patio space in The Finery plaza.

“Savory Fund, the investment group behind Sicilian Butcher, has several other successful restaurant brands that it continues to grow throughout the country, and its targeting of Wedgewood Houston for this concept further validates the neighborhood’s vibrant restaurant scene,” said Hines, the real estate investment management company behind The Finery, in a release obtained by What Now Nashville.

This will be The Sicilian Butcher’s fifth location, following three in Arizona and one that recently opened in Fort Worth, Texas.

The concept offers Sicilian-style dishes, including bruschetta, charcuterie boards and traditional pizza and pasta. It is known for its interactive menu and build-your-own-pasta-dish experience.

What Now Nashville has reached out to Maggiore for more information on the upcoming spot but has yet to receive a response. Stay tuned for updates on this location’s opening.
