According to recently approved permitting, a new breakfast and lunch concept called SweetMilk is headed to the fast-growing Donelson neighborhood. Slated to open within a month, the new restaurant comes as a collaboration between Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint founder Pat Martin and GReKo Street Food founder, Bill Darsinos. Its address will be 329 Donelson Pike.

Though an exact grand opening date has not yet been announced, the new concept will likely open doors by the end of October or early November at the latest. SweetMilk’s website notes they are currently hiring.

The brunch establishment will pay homage to classic Southern Comfort food with a modern twist, offering dishes like cast iron biscuits, sweet potato pancakes, and country-fried steak. A full bar menu will also be available, with highlights including a maple bacon old fashioned, blueberry lemon mimosa, and an espresso martini. Hours of operation will be 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. seven days a week, with breakfast served all day.

“Our menu draws inspiration from the culinary traditions of our Co-Founder Pat Martin’s family table growing up in Tennessee and Mississippi. Here, Pat looks to bridge the gap between the comfort foods of his youth and a slightly more modern Southern palate. Guests can expect a recurring lineup of weekday specials, as well as a Kid’s menu designed with the youngest friends in mind,” states the website.

Customers can stay tuned for the upcoming opening of SweetMilk on its Instagram.
