Uchi Planning Nashville Debut In Pie Town

James Beard Award-winning chef Tyson Cole’s sushi bar concept Uchi is heading to Nashville. It will open in Pie Town at 720 Ewing Ave., according to reporting by the Nashville Business Journal.

The Nashville location, listed as “coming soon” on the restaurant’s website, will be 5,750 square feet and feature 170 seats, according to the Business Journal. It is slated to open in early 2027.

Founded in Austin in 2003, Uchi now has spots in Austin, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Miami, Philadelphia, Scottsdale and West Hollywood. The sushi bar, whose name means “home” in Japanese, offers tastings and seasonal omakase.

Additional locations for Uchi are heading to other markets across the U.S., including Salt Lake City, Washington, D.C., Charlotte and Newport Beach.
