According to recent announcements, the Murfreesboro establishment Ugadi Indian Grill plans to open a second location in Nolensville at 515 Burkitt Commons Ave in the coming months. An exact opening timeline is forthcoming.

With a niche for authentic Indo-Chinese cuisine, Ugadi Indian Grill serves dishes like curries, tikka masala, butter chicken, korma, vindaloo, and saag entrees accompanied by basmati rice and fresh tandoori-baked naan bread.

The Boro Pulse reports the ownership team at Ugadi recently closed another venture called Desi Hangout Chaats and Ice Cream, which was open for a few months, to focus on the two restaurants. The dessert offerings from Desi will also be incorporated into the menu of the new Nolensville Ugadi location, states the Pulse.

According to Ugadi’s website, the business’ namesake comes from a South Indian festival celebrating new beginnings. The restaurant prides itself in offering quality ingredients and accommodating recipes, including many vegetarian and gluten-free meals.

“Ugadi Indian Grill is known for revolutionizing the way people eat and enjoy food. We take pride in our ability to discover the most unique flavors from around the world and share them with the Murfreesboro Tennessee area. With some of the most delicious combinations of ingredients, there is something for everyone to enjoy,” states the Udagi website.

Customers can stay tuned for additional updates on Ugadi’s Facebook and Instagram. What Now Nashville reached out to Ugadi officials for additional comment but did not receive a response by the time of publication.
