According to a recent press release, East Nashville’s Urban Cowboy boutique hotel, restaurant, and bar is growing. Co-founders Lyon Porter and Jersey Banks, who also own East’s Dive Motel, have announced a new standalone restaurant and bar will open at downtown’s historic Arcade Building in 2024. The address of the location will be 234 5th Ave N.

Though an exact opening date is currently unknown, the concept is likely to open sometime within the next year. Modeled after its East Nashville predecessor, the restaurant and bar will be called Urban Cowboy Public House and is slated to include a cozy, southwestern chic atmosphere.

“We have multiple floors, bays and entrances within the space that allow for a myriad of different experiences and offerings under the same roof,” Porter said in the release.

Since 2016, the Urban Cowboy location at 1603 Woodland St. has been revered for its modern take on classic cocktails and outdoor dining anchored by quant fire pits and intimate communal seating. Offering bites from Brooklyn-based Roberta’s Pizza, the spot has become a mainstay for East Nashville’s creative community. It’s likely that the new Arcade location will follow a similar vibe, though specific details of the project are yet to be announced.

The historic Arcade building opened in 1902 at 65 Arcade Alley, near downtown’s Honky Tonk bars on Broadway. Spanning Fourth and Fifth Avenues north and modeled after an Italian arcade, it was Nashville’s first shopping center, replacing Overton Alley as the city’s retail commerce epicenter, according to the Nashville Scene.

Customers can anticipate a robust menu of curated cocktails, unique food options, and an aesthetically pleasing environment. Stay tuned for additional updates on Urban Cowboy’s website and Instagram.
