Whitney’s Cookies is preparing to expand for the first time. Owner Whitney Miller will open her second location in a 352-square-foot space at The Arcade, with a target opening in mid-September.

Miller launched Whitney’s Cookies in 2019 and opened its first brick-and-mortar storefront in 2023 in downtown Franklin. Miller draws inspiration from her journey as a chef, which included winning the first season of Fox’s MasterChef with Gordon Ramsay in 2010. Since then, she has built a following for her desserts, especially her brownie cookie. The popularity of her cookies led to the inception of Whitney’s Cookies.

“We always knew we wanted to expand it to Nashville,” Miller told What Now Nashville. “We really love being where there’s a lot of foot traffic. One of the things that we like about where we are in downtown Franklin, and our business model is that we’re where the visitors are, because visitors almost are never on any kind of diet. And so if you’re somewhere where visitors are, then people are always looking for some kind of sweet treat, some kind of taste of the area. And I think we’ll be able to give them that at The Arcade.”

Miller said that in addition to their usual cookie offerings — which include a variety of flavors like the almond croissant cookie, the stuffed chocolate chip cookie and the salted peanut butter cup cookie — they will be debuting a soft-serve addition at The Arcade location.

The space will feature a fun, joyful design that will feature a mural on the wall specific to the Nashville location.

“We just really love the architecture. We just immediately fell in love with it and everything that The Arcade is doing, and I think it will be a place that not only the visitors will want to travel to, but I think locals will be really excited about this,” Miller said.

The spot is currently in the permitting process, with buildout still to come.
