Brechtel Hospitality is reimagining its New Orleans-based restaurant and bar concepts with renovations, expansions, and a new rooftop venue dedicated to events.

The company managing its Poydras Street properties announced temporary closures for Copper Vine and Vintage Rock Club for renovations. Copper Vine, which will close for a few weeks starting in August, will be rebranded into Copper Vine Winepub & Inn with a remodeled dining area and more space for events. It will also feature a “restaurant-first” take on traditional bed-and-breakfast with 11 rooms.

Vintage Rock Club, which temporarily closed earlier this month and will reopen in September, will be double its original size. New additions include a second dance floor, bar, and video wall for private events and better customer experience.

The hospitality company will also build an indoor/ outdoor rooftop venue spanning 6,000 square feet with a full kitchen and a private elevator entrance on Rampart Street.

“For now it will be a beautiful rooftop space that can be rented for an event from any of our concepts on the property—Copper Vine, Vintage Rock Club, or Walk On’s [a bar run by Brechtel hospitality],” Brechtel Hospitality’s president and CEO Kyle Brechtel told What Now New Orleans.

The new rooftop venue’s construction will be completed by the end of 2023.

Brechtel said in a statement in January that Copper Vine and Vintage Rock Club are being expanded in response to increased demand.

“We’re excited to move forward with the Poydras Street expansion and become a larger gathering place for our community while creating something new and unique for our guests,” he said. “With an additional kitchen and multiple dining rooms at Copper Vine, dance floor and bar at Vintage Rock Club, and open-air accommodations at our new rooftop venue, we will have ample space to simultaneously execute large private gatherings while continuing to offer excellent hospitality to our everyday customers.”
