After a delayed opening and reimagining caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, JAMNOLA has become one of New Orleans’ newest cultural gems. Currently, the museum of interconnected art installations is planning a move to Frenchmen Street to accommodate its growing popularity and expand its mission.

When JAMNOLA reopens at 940 Frenchmen St., it will have 25 new art installations, an attached restaurant, and an outdoor party deck, according to NOLA.com. The new museum will be located in a former production bakery and the space is currently undergoing major renovations. There are also plans to offer off-street parking. A tentative opening date has been set for the end of the year.

Even though it launched near the height of the pandemic, JAMNOLA has become a runaway success, attracting hundreds of thousands of people over the last four years. While many of those people are tourists, the museum also strongly caters to locals, with Tuesdays and Thursdays being half-off for all Louisiana residents.
