For many years now, the Warehouse District has been known as nexus for sophisticated dining and a planned restaurant called Junebug suggests that isn’t changing anytime soon. Created by the same restaurant group who brought you Brewery Saint X and Devil Moon BBQ, Junebug will offer sophisticated small plates informed by Southern and French culinary traditions, according to a press release.

Planned dishes include confit beef cheeks, croque monsieur, and fried drum fish. The drink menu from bar director Sophie Burton, who’s worked at cocktail hotspots Bar Tonique and Holy Diver, will include two versions of each cocktail. Potent versions will be made straight up or on the rocks with a high ABV, while the “refreshing” versions of cocktails will be served ‘long’ or as a highball — meaning a soda mixer is added.

The new restaurant will be located at 748 Camp St., and reports indicate it will keep its kitchen open late into the evening, in a nod to hours that restaurants used to keep before the pandemic.
