According to public records and reporting from The Advocate, a Smalls Sliders franchise group has purchased land at 803 Bertrand Dr. in Lafayette, suggesting this address will be the next location in the city. The only location of the cheeseburger slider chain currently open in Lafayette is at 4611 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy., which opened last year.
The rapidly growing chain gets praise for both its food and concept. Smalls Sliders features slider-sized cheeseburgers that can be ordered in sizes of one to four patties — all topped with a pickle and special sauce. The chain is also known for its brightly-colored, compact locations, which resemble shipping containers. Earlier this year, the company announced it had 200 locations that are either currently open or in development. The restaurant is also currently featuring a Dreamsicle Shake, which tastes like the classic orange creamsicle frozen treat you might remember from childhood.
