Let’s put a quick poll out there – will New Yorkers ever have enough pizza? Beep! The answer came in very quickly, and the answer is no. No, there will never be enough pizza in the city.

Thankfully, there’s a brand new pizza restaurant opening up on St. Mark’s that will help keep New York’s pizza supply flowing for a long time. Crispiano is a brand new pizzeria from owners Haxhi Kabashi, Nikolin Leskaj, and Gentjan Prela.

Haxhi previously served as Manager at the Locale Cafe in Closter, NJ, while Gentjan has been working as a server at Pasty’s Pizzeria on First Avenue. Nikolin, meanwhile, has been working as a chef since 2005. Most recently, he served as Pizza Chef at New York’s Numero 28 and will be bringing with him over a decade of pizza expertise. For the three partners, this will be their first time operating a restaurant of their very own.

Crispiano will be opening up at 130 St. Marks Place, replacing the popular I love Panzerotti pizzeria that previously occupied the location. As a former pizzeria, the space is well-suited to meet the team’s needs and should feature enough tables and chairs to comfortably seat 24 guests at one time.

Crispiano is expected to operate daily from 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM and is currently in the process of acquiring a beer and wine license, so guests will be able to join their fellow St. Marks revelers well into the night. While the pizzeria is still too early into development to have an online presence, once their website and Instagram are up we will update this article with the relevant links.
