A Long Island Favorite, Port Jeff Brewery, Plans Final Celebration

Located near the shores of Port Jefferson, the Port Jeff Brewery has been a local favorite since its inception. The brewery is known for its crafted beer brewed from high-quality ingredients and with extensive precision. The list includes Orange Dream, Shiznit IPA, Overboard Russian Imperial Stout, and a few others.

The brewery shared an official announcement on Instagram, “After 15 years, it’s time for one final encore. Port Jeff Brewing Co. will be closing soon.”

To mark its closing, the brewery will host a ‘Final Days Celebration.’ Updates regarding the dates and celebrations will be shared soon. The brewery has not disclosed a reason for the closure.

Sharing a heartfelt message, the brewery invited the community and said, “If this brewery ever gave you a good night, a good song, or a good friend…come say goodbye and help us finish this chapter right.”

Legacy of Port Jeff Brewery

Port Jeff Brewery opened in 2011. It operated a 7-barrel system, which produced 217 gallons of beer per batch (roughly 86 cases). The beer is then sold in kegs, cans, 22-ounce bottles, and special-release bottles across Long Island, New York City, and upstate New York.

The closure news deeply saddened the community; one of the fans wrote, “This makes me so sad. Me and my hubby used to visit back in the beginning of our craft beer journey. Sigh. This sucks.”

Another one shared, “The best part of Port Jeff won’t be the same without you guys. Will forever love all the memories!”

As Port Jeff Brewery wraps up its 15-year legacy at Port Jefferson, the community is left with heartfelt memories and connections. With this closure, New York loses another local gem.
