A New York based Indian restaurant is currently gearing up to expand to a brand new location.
Inday is a popular Indian restaurant founded by Basu Ratnam in 2014. Based out of New York, Inday offers high quality seasonal and Indian-inspired dishes in a fast-casual setting. Their stated mission is to empower people to feel better every day by connecting ancient wisdom to modern wellbeing.
Inday restaurants have become especially popular thanks to the bright and airy designs of their spaces. Inday designs all of its spaces in order to reflect their neighborhood and offer guests a relaxing respite from the bustling city around them. Now, Inday is planning on debuting a brand new location – their fifth overall – at 224 Lafayette Street.
The new Inday restaurant will be replacing the popular Jack’s Wife Freda restaurant that previously occupied the space. Jack’s Wife Freda recently moved across the street from 224 Lafayette Street to 226 Lafayette street, leaving their original space vacant. Thankfully, Jack’s Wife Freda is fully operational once again, having just reopened last Sunday.
The location is spacious enough to accommodate about 52 guests between the interior, standing bar, and proposed outdoor café. Basu is currently in the process of acquiring a new liquor license for the space, and is proposing operating hours of 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM, every day. For future updates, you can follow Inday on Instagram for information on new dishes and deals.
