Chef Hirohisa Hayashi of Michelin-starred Hirohisa is slated to debut an upscale bakery, Mio Mio, in Soho, as previously reported by What Now New York. The team officially announced that it is slated to debut this fall.

The brand new 550-square-foot space will be a high-end Japanese dessert bar that offers items such as dainty fruit sandwiches, sakekasu dacquoise, which is a French-style almond-flavored confectionery stuffed with a Japanese fruity-flavored buttercream, chocolate terrine, and ice cream flavors such as matcha and strawberry. The Soho space is currently under construction and anticipates opening later in fall. It will be helmed by one of Soho’s finest award-winning sushi chefs and sommeliers.

Hayashi was born in Japan into a family of culinary masters. In addition to earning and maintaining a Michelin-star as a chef, he also has won numerous sommelier awards for his plum sake, which he serves as Hirohisa.
