Florida-based Mediterranean chain Motek has lined up a West Village location. Motek has filed paperwork with the community board for a location at 184-186 Bleecker St.
The space will be 3,500 square feet, with a 2,500-square-foot ground floor level and a 1,000-square-foot cellar. Plans call for 22 tables that seat 60 and one 13-seat bar.
Motek broke into the New York market with a location in the Flatiron District this past fall. This marked the first out-of-state expansion for the brand, which launched in Florida in 2020 under the leadership of founders Charlie and Tessa Levy.
The brand serves Mediterranean cuisine such as hummus, oven pita, skewers, salads, steak, lamb chops, falafel, kebabs and all-day brunch with items like avocado toast and shakshouka.
There is also a location on the way to the Upper West Side that will open this year.
The West Village location lists 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. daily as its proposed hours of operation, according to community board filings.
