One of Manhattan’s best Brazilian restaurants is about to get that much better.

Nelore Grill is a popular Brazilian restaurant from owner Xiomara DeSousa. Formerly known as Rice ‘n’ Beans, Nelore Grill offers authentic Brazilian home cooking in a casual, intimate space in Hells Kitchen. Nelore is known for serving up flavorful empanadas, calabresa com macaxeira, and plenty of stew. Perhaps most importantly, Nelore has become especially popular among locals thanks to their impressive portion sizes.

Open at 744 Ninth Avenue, Nelore offers mouthwatering Brazilian dishes in an intimate, New York environment. The space features a total of nine tables, capable of seating up to 18 guests at one time. At the moment, there are no plans to establish an outdoor café, but the restaurant does regularly play theme-appropriate background music.

The new license will enable Nelore to serve signature Brazilian cocktails alongside their impressive array of dishes. The space is expected to focus on the caipirinha, the national cocktail of Brazil, made with cachaça, sugar, and lime. The change will also see the restaurant opening up on Monday, when it was formerly closed, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The operating hours for the other days are not expected to change though. Nelore Grill is currently open to all guests, so be sure to give them a visit to try out their specialty Brazilian dinners. For further updates, you can follow Nelore Grill on Instagram.
